Wonderful Guide

Hi Gede,
Anoth trip another time of contacing you and asking you to be our driver for some time in Bali in November 2010.
We have concluded that a trip to Bali just wouldn’t be complete unless we contact you and ask you to pick us up from the airport and show us around to more places in Bali before dropping us back at the airport for our return visit home to Western Australia.
To anyone looking for a wonderful guide, who is not only knowledgable but courteous, caring and professional, you cannot go past Gede in our opinion.
The 2 trips to Bali so far have been to celebrate a special occassion in our lives, and each time Gede has ensured that we have done something special on the day and in the evening, we will be returning in April with the rest of our family and will certainly be booking him for airport pickups and dropoffs but also for time while we are in Bali also.
We highly recommend Gede as a person whom to trust to further enjoy your holiday in Bali, we know we certainly trust him and enjoy our time in Bali so much more because of him.
Gede, thank you so much again for all of your help.

Great & Wondeful

Surya - 2010-09-05 02:25:50
A friend told me about Gede and his wonderful services and I decided to contact him rather than use any other tour operater. I was thrilled with my holiday for Gede is respectful, reliable and highly experienced. Nothing is too much trouble for him, he’s helpful and a very kind man and my holidays in Bali will always include him as my guide. I was so impressed with his assistance that I’ve referred him to both colleagues and friends and each person has also been very impressed. Thank you Gede and I look forward to seeing you next time I’m in town.

Gede has been my driver/guide/general holiday fix-it man on every visit (which must be almost annually) to Bali for twenty years and I can absolutely recommend him to any holiday maker visiting the island. Forget about travel agents whose advice is only based on brochures & websites...Gede has the network of contacts and on-the-ground knowledge to organise every part of your holiday including accomodation, tours and general travel. He will meet you at the airport and be available whenever you wish during your stay. He is a great family man (has two children of his own) with a sincere and relaxed manner! Have a great holiday!

Hi Gede,

Thanks for driving us around during our recent short trip to Bali. When we searched through the internet for Bali driver, there were hundreds of names came by. It’s a hard decision though, we finally decided to choose you as you said you are a true Balinese man who lives by the 3 principles of having good relation with the other human being, with God and with the environment that we live in. True enough, Gede that we met in Bali is such a man who is gentle, polite and reliable. We really appreciated you kind consideration in taking those shortcuts while on our way to the airport from Tanah Lot. Once again, Thank you!

We definitely recommend you to any one who wants to visit Bali. Hope to see you soon.

Thank you...

Hi Gede,

Thank you so much for driving and guiding my family around this beautiful island of Bali during our recent trip. We are indeed very happy that we found you as your vast knowledge and experiences of places around Bali has made our trip even more memorable and enjoyable. With your good English, we exchanged stories and jokes of our homelands and even talked about the recent Thomas Cup matches! We also like how you maneuvered your car in those narrow streets of the villages and our safety is well taken of. Your politeness and little gesture in offering us cool water to quench our thirst after the walk around the places are indeed touched our heart so much. Thank you again, Gede!

We would definitely recommend your good service to our friends and relatives who are planning to visit Bali at anytime and we hope to see you again for a more relaxing holiday trip in Bali.

Thank You

Danny and Karen Vella - 2010-04-27 11:10:26
We met Gede by accident but how fortunate we were. Gede was most professional and helpful. The meaning would have been lost in the interpretation many times over if not for Gede’s skillful help. Gede went the extra mile when helping us find goods we were shopping for by taking us to all the different shops we were looking for and then coming in with us and helping us explain what we wanted. He became more than just a driver and interpeter as he took the time to explain many of the customs and intricasies of the Balinese culture as we were driving around even though some of our questions may have seemed a bit naive.
Thank you Gede. We hope to see you again next year.
We would recommend Gede to anyone who wishes to employ the skills of an honest, reliable and helpful driver.
Danny and Karen Vella, Townsville, Australia.

Shobha Duff - 2010-04-27 04:42:09
Hi Gede
Thank you for your efficiency as our guide and driver in Bali. You were recommended by my office staff Somsong and Surya who were both very satisfied with your services. I am glad that I took their advise.
In four days you were able to show us everything one needs to know about Bali and its culture along with great restaurants and shopping centres.
You were courteous, patient, caring of our needs and a person to trust. I would be always recommending you to anyone (young & old) who visits Bali.
Thank you once again.

Bali Culture

The Balinese are an extremely devote and spiritual mix. In fact, in Bali there are over 10,000 temples on the small but densely populated island. The Balinese believe that good spirits dwell in the mountains and that the seas are home to demons. Therefore, most villages have at least three main temples: one of which is the Pura Puseh or ‘temple of origin’, is dedicated to the village founders and which faces to Mt Agung - home to Pura Besakihthe mother temple on Bali. Also, each home, rice field or market can have several temples and as well as rice fields. Daily offerings are made at these temples in he form of food, cigarettes, sweets and sometimes even money in order to honor the good spirits and satiate the evil spirits.
Balinese society is founded on the Hindu caste system, though there are several differences. For example, the Balinese do not have untouchables. Instead in Bali, there are four castes; Sundras , the peasants who comprise over 90% of the population, Wesias , the warrior caste, which also includes traders and some nobility, Satrias , the caste of kings, and Pedanas, the holy men and priests (brahman). Amazingly, each caste has its own language; a separate dialect exists to enable someone to address one of unknown caste to avoid disrespect. Luckily, to prevent confusion, the national language of Indonesia (Bahasia Indonesia), is taught in schools and enables everyone generally to communicate with one another.

There are two sub-classes in Bali called the Subak and the Banjar. The Subak controls who will plant rice and when (plantings are staggered so that pestilence is minimized). All farmers or rice paddy owners must join the Subak in their village. As well and more importantly the Subak ensures that all farmers receive just amounts of irrigation water. Meanwhile, the Banjar are in charge of all other aspects of Balinese life such as marriages, cremations, community service and festivals.
In Bali, the birth of a child is attended by the entire family, and a holy man who invokes spiritual powers and aids the delivery. Balinese are named according to its order in the family; Wayan for the first born, Made for the second, Nyoman for the third and Ketut for the fourth. The names are repeated for more than four c

When both of it united hence it's for similar to sarcophagus, that is stone case result of megalithic era culture. Here there is archaeology omission coming from 16 century that is arch or winged entrance gate. Winged entrance gate represent the scarce archaeology omission. Winged entrance gate Uluwatu Temple (a period of its making) can be compared with the same one located in mosque complex in Sendangduwur Village, Lamongan, East Java, where the period of its making is relevant with the year candrasengkala found at this inscription. Candrasengkala found in the mosque is written with the wording gunaning salira tirta hayu meaning year 1483 Saka or 1561 Masehi.

When it is the time for, he chose this place as a place for ngeluwur ree of soul /dead leave without body to return to origin (moksa). Pursuant to the consideration then he set mind to build the Parhayangan or extend the building of Uluwatu Temple which there have previously. When Mpu Kuturan extend the building of Uluwatu Temple, he build hostel as residence and then the ex- the hostel built temple by local society named the Gong Hill Temple (Pura Bukit Gong). The building of Parhyangan in Uluwatu Temple is done by Mpu Kuturan in the early 16 century after he lifted to become the Purohita (priest of king adviser) from king of Dalem Waturenggong commander in the year 1460-1552 .
