Best Things to Eat, See, and Do in Ubud

Dotted with shrines, rice paddies, and mountains, escape the crowds at Bali’s heart of culture and be wowed by the beautiful landscapes of Ubud.

1. Whitewater Rafting in Ayung River

This one's an experience you have to add to your list of things to do in Bali! The Ayung River in Ubud is the widest and longest river in Bali that stretches all the way from the northern mountainous area in the region. Hop on an inflatable raft and have an adrenaline-pumping time navigating through the rushing streams and waves of the river.

2.Mount Batur

Break a sweat and you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking (literally) views of Bali on this . Mount Batur is an active volcano that promises views of the mountain and crystal clear waters of Lake Batur. The climb takes about two hours, but feel free to take breaks and appreciate the view for as long as you want.

Before your hike, remember to pack:

A jacket: It gets really cold at the peak and base of the mountain.

Extra water: Even though a bottle of water is provided, you’ll need it!

Head torch: A handheld torchlight is provided, but bring a head torch and ditch having to hold onto your torch to get better balance.

A good pair of sport shoes: Ditch those sneakers and wear a comfortable pair of sport shoes if you don’t want to risk tripping on loose rocks.

3.Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka

Babi Guling is a must on your list of what to eat in Bali and there’s no better place to get your fill than at Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka. This signature Balinese style roasted pork dish serves the whole pig, including its blood, along with crispy pork skin, pork blood sausage, pork roll, and fried pork meat — not a single part of the pig is wasted. Roasted to perfection, take a bite into the pork skin that will give you a satisfying crunch with every bite.

4.Tegalalang Rice Fields

The Tegalalang Rice Terraces are one of the most stunning-looking terraced landscapes in the Ubud region. Although it's frequented by many tourists, you’ll still catch the locals hard at work plowing the fields. You can appreciate their work and the views with a beginner-friendly hike through the splendid terraced landscapes here!

5.Bali Swing and Bali Bird Nest

Experience it and feel the sensation , adrenaline rush, unforgettable experiences and unique pictures.

6.Ubud Traditional Art Market

Find a wide range of local artisan products that you won’t see anywhere else! There’s everything from silk scarves to woven bags and many other hand-crafted goods.

7.Tirta  Empul temple

Tirta Empul is an important temple complex that’s best known for its holy mountain spring and purification pools. It has been a spiritual destination for both local its Balinese Hindu pilgrims and foreigners looking to enjoy a spiritual experience.
