The ‘Karya Agung Pengurip Gumi’ (The Great Rites to Revitalise the Earth) is complex in ways that Balinese ceremonies excel in. There is huge amount of organization; and then the orderly chaos of execution when planning meets real-life logistical complexities. Yet where there is a will there is a way, the Balinese always forge through and get the job done in one way or the other.
