Kanto Lampo waterfall
Kanto Lampo is a nice cascade waterfall that drops down some rocks into a shallow natural pool in the river.The water is shallow enough for kids (when we went in August it was knee high), although if you go up the river a bit it gets deeper (chest high).

Discover the iconic Tirta Gangga Water Palace!
Tirta Gangga Water Palace was built in 1948 by Raja Karangasem, Anak Agung Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. The purpose is to be built as a bathing place for the king and his family. Previously, only the king and his family could enter the Tirta Gangga Water Palace. Over time, the Tirta Gangga Water Palace began to be opened to the public and became one of the favorite tourist attractions in Karangasem.
Upon entering the location of the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, the first thing you’ll see is two large ponds filled with ornamental fish the size of an adult's hand. The first pool on the east side is decorated by statues lined up. You can walk along the pond by walking on solid rock arranged neatly like a path. Well, this pool is a favorite photo spot for visitors. You can take a selfie with the background of the statues in the pool.
Not far from here, there is a park with a 10-meter-high water tower. This water tower has steps like the roof of a temple. The water in the Tirta Gangga pond comes from a sacred water source and is used for traditional ceremonial activities. While in the western pond, there is a small bridge which is also usually used as a background photo.
The pond on the west side is the most spacious. Well, another way to enjoy the Tirta Gangga Water Palace is by paddling the canoe around this pool. Yes, because of the extent of the pool, boat or djoekoeng is really needed for visitors who want additional entertainment. In addition, there is also a swimming pool for the public, with an entrance fee of IDR 10,000. The swimming pool at the Tirta Gangga Water Palace is perfect to be visited after taking pictures. You only have to pay IDR 25,000 for the Tirta Gangga entrance fee. Don't forget to bring a towel and a change of clothes!
The beauty of the location and the uniqueness of the building make tourists feel at home at the Tirta Gangga Water Palace. The calm and peaceful atmosphere is very suitable as a place to relieve fatigue from daily life activities. If you want to take pictures, visit Tirta Gangga Water Palace in the morning or evening. At noon, this water park will be crowded with visitors.

Bali Kita Festival
The timing of the kite festival in July and August is key, as this marks the start of the windy season in Bali. In addition, both months are peak seasons for tourists, so attendance is full, making it a fun and interactive festival.
It may be a little hard for those who would like to plan, as the dates are scheduled per current weather conditions. Therefore, it is best to have a general idea of the dates and then check with your hotel when you arrive to see if they know the confirmed dates.
Once the dates are set, locals gather to compete with foreigners in kite flying. If you head down to the beach to watch or participate, you will see a sky filled with kites of all shapes, sizes and colours soaring above the crowded beaches.

Balinese ritual purifying cleanser.
Melukat is just one of Bali's magical rituals which involves using water as a ritual cleanser. The aim is to cleanse both body and mind, to refresh the spirit and dissolve away any negative influences. It is also believed to cure non-medical diseases and sickness of the spirit.
Melukat is part of the execution of Manusa Yadnya ceremony, which has the purpose to cleanse and purify the person inward and inner. Melukat comes from the word “lukat” in Kawi-Bali means cleaning and purifying. Implementing Melukat ritual is one of effort to cleanse and purify our body, mind, and soul in order to get closer to the God.

Melukat: Purifying Our Mind, Body & Soul
Melukat is derived from Sulukat. “Su” means good, and “lukat” means purification,“Melukat” means to cleanse or to purify. Melukat is a unique religious ritual and a holy sacrifice dedicated by a human being to cleanse and purify the human body and soul from havoc, bad luck, and illness. The ritual usually holds on a good day in a Balinese Calendar. Melukat Ritual is also known as a “spiritual maintenance”. It is done by taking a bath in a natural water source like rivers, waterfalls or the sea with a blessing of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God Almighty) and with prayer by a priest.
The ceremony is carried out on a good day and it is a tradition, which have been done by Hindus in Bali generation to generation until now.Purifying spiritually means a process to remove bad influences or “klesa” in human.
Klesa means dirty. There are five klesa, they are “Awidya”, soul darkness because they perceive themselves as smart, rich, young, strong, noble, beautiful, or handsome. “Asmita” is egoist and the body only stress on releasing desire. “Dwesa” is hatred and revenge. “Abhiniwesa” is fear.
One of the most popular sites where Balinese people as well as visitors go to partake in melukat is Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring. A large rectangular pool is fed by holy spring water that flows from of a series of 12 stone fountains. Worshippers first make an offering at the temple, and then climb into the main pool to bathe and pray. Many people collect the holy water in bottles to take home and use in their own family temple.

Tanah Lot Temple
Tanah Lot Temple is built on a rock about 300 metres from the coast, and is one of Bali's pura segara seven sea temples, each of which is said to be visible from the next, forming a protective spiritual chain around the island. The silhouette of the Tanah Lot Temple at sunset is an emblem of Bali, so it is not to be missed!
The 16th-century temple is dedicated to the guardian spirits of the sea and is believed to be guarded by the dangerous sea serpents that live beneath the surface. When the tide is high, the rock on which the Tanah Lot Temple is located becomes almost completely covered, although, for a few hours a day it is possible to walk to the temple without getting wet. The interior of the temple, which is accessed through a staircase carved into the rock, can not be visited however, but at sunset it is possible to approach the sanctuary to receive a blessing given by the priests.

Tenganan Village
Bali Tenganan village is one of the oldest Balinese Traditional Village located in Karangasem Regency,east part of Bali.This village is much referred by cultural literature science of Tenganan Pegringsingan,which is very famous in the island.It own very unique local community life pattern which is one example of Bali Aga village cultures ( Hindu Prehistoric ) and different with other countryside in plain of Bali.
The popular products from Tenganan is double-woven textile called ikat. Other souvenirs like traditional calendar, maps and carvings also can be found here. The village was clean and tidy, the people were friendly and not at all pushy.
During an annual event Mekare-kare all men in this village will join on a war-festival by fighting each other on a stage using only rattan shield and prickly pandan leaves as the weapon. The ladies will watch the fight and occasionally chanting few traditional songs by the stage.
